Recently I had the last of my teeth removed due to decay from diabetes, among other causes. It was very painful because all my teeth were infected along with parts of my jawbone. So I wrote a poem to express my feelings.
Requiem for a Teeth
They were old and cracked But, they were mine And had been for over 40 years
I mourn them.
I don’t have a headstone for them.
